- Info:Project Budget: $1,500,000 – The creation of Dr. Martin Luther King Park transformed a blighted area of vacant land into a vibrant facility connecting 17th St. W. to 12th St. W. along Carr Drain for residents to walk and to help improve stormwater treatment. The project was a cooperative venture between the Palmetto CRA and the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD). Robert Gause served as the project manager for the CRA, involved in both the design and permitting decisions as well as managing project delivery and coordination with the SWFWMD regarding cooperative funding releases.
